Dearest Rayson:

How did you get home last night? I was awfully glad that the train wasn't crowded and for once you could ride comfortably. After you had gone I managed to make connections on the car and was home by half past eight. Thats making good time down here but you could have been half way accross Chicago in the same time.

This has been a lovely clear day, but so cold. One day we roast and the next we freeze. We spent most of the day packing trunks and weighing them. Scherer's man brought over another packing box today, just the size we wanted. That is ready now any time we want it. I am anxious to get it packed and shipped.

Aunt Vic and Ryburn were here for a little while tonight to get the scale and a few things Mother had given her. They were both feeling pretty agreeable and so we had a good time. She spoke as though she might try and go with us. Maybe we can coax her to go after all. Ryburn goes back to school tomorrow morning.

The Fair begins here tomorrow. I suppose we will go one day although it is very nearly the same every year.

Tomorrow morning we are going to town early and get all the business settled, and see what the express rates will be.

Well dear it is getting late and so will close for this time. We both send our love and best wishes. Good night, dear, for this time,
With all my love,
Yours forever,
Edythe.
