Dearest Rayson:

Your dear and ever welcome letter came yesterday morning. We were washing and today we ironed. Everything is clean now and ready to pack when the time comes.

This has been another warm day, so have they all for that matter. It rained hard for a while this afternoon but was as hot as ever afterwords. Mother and I sewed and did manage to accomplish a little in spite of the heat.

Yesterday we had a letter from Vera, she said Mr Goodfellow had received your letter and will do all he can for you. That is fine of him.

She writes that they have a brand new cat all their own. "A tiger with white slippers in front, white stockings behind and a white vest." Must be quite a cat, I hope it doesn't get all grown up before I get there. I'll bet she is just tickled to pieces.

We are going down town in the morning and purchase the packing box so as to have it here when we get ready to pack. Everything is just about cleaned out, it hasn't been as much of a job as I expected it would be.

Well dearest mine, when this reaches you, it will not be many hours until the train leaves to bring you home. Mail going into the city moves so slowly.

There isn't anymore news dear, so will say Good Night for this time. With love from both of us, I am as always,

Yours lovingly,
Edythe.
